Exciting roof terrace project now well established

Article text
Grasses and sedges in simple timber raised beds
Roof spaces are some of the most inhospitable places and pose a big challenge to landscape designers. This south east facing Paris roof terrace is exposed to winds and can be baking hot all through the day. The design had to take these problems on board and come up with something tough and contemporary, fitting the client brief.

The solution was to use timber raised beds and a series of bespoke planters in soft and naturalistic colours. The planting is soft and quite exotic in style and in keeping with the 'fields in the air' brief given by the clients.

Images can now be seen in the 'Roof Gardens' section of the portfolio.
